Managing Conflicts of Interest
The 2017 NHS England guidance on managing conflicts of interest put renewed emphasis on decision-making staff (and others) to declare such things as gifts, donations and hospitality. It also came at a time of historic financial strain for the NHS. The challenge to meet these new requirements is a considerable one for many health organisations, who will struggle to find the internal resource to dedicate to this potentially time-consuming task.
