Business Development Manager
A long-time team member and collaborator, Rob became a Project Manager and full-time member of staff in 2013, in 2017 moving into the role of Business Development Manager. He draws upon a wide range of learning and experiences: politics, community engagement and drama.
In his time working with MES, Rob has contributed to a broad spectrum of activities across the NHS landscape. He has extensive experience in leading and supporting NHS Foundation Trust public consultations as well as other major health projects, including the ground-breaking ‘Accord’ based in North East Lincolnshire. A key part of the planning and launch of the scheme, Rob’s work helped place 80% of the region’s commissioning budget into the hands of the public.
Rob is also our Learning and Development Lead for MES, overseeing all external L&D content for the company including training for elected representatives and MES-hosted events and conferences. He also co-ordinates our internal activities, ensuring colleagues are supported in their career development.
A keen rugby fan, Rob’s writing and analytical skills are honed in producing his insightful blog, Red Rugby. He occasionally gets away from the keyboard altogether, singing with the popular a cappella group, The Buzztones.
