Maxine van Bommel
Maxine joined MES’s Research team in March 2016 as Research Associate. She works with our Research Manager, Mallory, to deliver market and social research projects for our clients, including research design, analysis and reporting, project management, and process improvement.
Maxine is a cultural anthropologist with a master’s degree in Conflict Studies and Human Rights from Utrecht University. She has over four years of research experience on a number of themes such as human rights, healthcare, poverty, and personal debt.
Maxine specialises in carrying out research with vulnerable and / or hard-to-reach groups such as migrants, patients and youths, using a blended approach. Most of her past studies have been carried out in the Netherlands and funded by local government bodies and charities, but she has also been involved with research projects funded by the European Commission working with international partners.
Maxine has a love for travel and visiting new places, and considers herself a ‘tourist for life’. A self-confessed ‘health nut’, she enjoys hiking, morning runs, the great outdoors, and trying out new recipes.
