Debbie graduated from Durham and began her career at NOP SRA, Research International, and NOP Consumer. She has been working as an independent researcher since 2000. In 1997, she achieved a Distinction in the MRS Certificate, and in 1999 presented a paper to the MRS Conference on the innovative use of video observation in research. Debbie is a member of the Independent Consultants’ Group and the Market Research Society, and a current participant in the MRS CPD Programme.
Debbie enjoys uncovering research insights and communicating them clearly to help clients. She is an enthusiastic and experienced project leader - whether working alone or as part of a team - with the ability to use both qualitative and quantitative market research techniques to great effect.
Debbie has conducted hundreds of focus groups, accompanied shops, ethnographic and in-depth interviews, and online qualitative research. As well as analysing her own fieldwork, she enjoys conducting analysis on larger scale studies, drawing out insights obtained from a range of methodologies or team of researchers.
Debbie is confident interviewing all types of individuals, including people with disabilities/long term health issues, children, high net worth individuals, consumers and many types of professionals. She has explored areas such as health, fast moving consumer goods, philanthropy, services and education. She has considerable experience working for clients across sectors such as finance, not-for-profit/charity, consumer, retail, government, education, healthcare and B2B.
