New Staff

As we look forward to an engaging 2012, we are happy to welcome two new members of staff, Richard Wheatcroft and Sahar Mirhadi.
Richard will be the latest addition to Rhodri's Project Management Team working closely with our NHS Membership Database clients. Sahar has joined MES as a Campaign Co-ordinator and will be planning and executing public recruitment campaigns.

A big welcome to our latest client for the MES NHS Membership Database, University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust. The Trust appointed MES as their preferred provider following a full tendering process and we are all looking forward to working them. We are happy to announce that as part of the ERS Group, MES has achieved gold status as a Microsoft partner, demonstrating expertise and excellence in services featuring Microsoft products. MES is proud to join an elite group of only 1% of Microsoft partners worldwide to achieve this.

MES Charity Events

November saw a lot of charitable activity from the MES team. The MES/ERS group bake sale was a roaring success, with bellies filled, cakes rated and over £300 raised for Oxfam's East Africa appeal and local homeless charity Broadway.

Movember was also highly successful with many weird and wonderful moustaches sprouted throughout the MES team and of course funds and awareness for men's health generated. Following a company contribution of £500 the grand total raised was over £2,200!

Holiday News

The holiday season is now upon us and MES would like to wish you well. NHS Alliance

On 30th November, our MD Nick Goodman spoke at the NHS Alliance on the subject of governance, accountability and engagement for Clinical Commissioning Groups. FTN Conference

October saw MES and ERS exhibit at the Foundation Trust Governance conference in central London. It was great to see a good deal of our current clients and meet some new faces. Launch V5

The latest version of our NHS Membership Database is about to be launched. November will see the introduction of version 5 of the system. We've come a long way since the very first system went live in 2007, we'd like to thank our development team and of course all our clients for their great ideas that make the system what it is. MES and ERS will be presenting at the upcoming NHS Alliance annual conference in Manchester on 30th of November to 1st December. The subject will be ‘CCGs: accountability and governance'. We are looking forward to chatting about our favourite subject and will also have a stand for the duration of the conference, so do drop by and say hello at stand 85.

Strategy Day

October was a month for some ‘monkeying around' for Team MES. Our annual strategy away day is a good chance for us to get away and discuss new ideas to improve our products and service for the year ahead. After a morning spent strategizing, the whole team spent the afternoon up in the trees, outside Leeds Castle in deepest Kent.

Mutualism Dinner at House of Commons

Elouise, Rhodri and Paul met a familiar face in November and one dear to our hearts; that of Dai Bevan the founder of the NHS. After attending an insightful conference on mutualism, the MES management team were invited to attend a dinner in the members' dining rooms within the palace of Westminster.
